Fashion Halloween

I know when I search for a halloween look based off my favorite celebrity looks. Then end up going to Party City for a costume out of a bag. Well this year, I decided to give you four celebrity looks that you can make into any halloween look…and use the pieces after halloween.

Style Inspiration: Ugly Betty

This week I rediscovered Ugly Betty via Hulu Plus. I forgot how much I loved the show with all it’s sarcasm and Fashion! Through my new experience with Ugly Betty, I noticed how much Betty’s style has grown on me.

Through the first season, Betty was a style joke with her crazy colors and prints that would never fit into a fashion magazine. Going into the third & fourth season, Betty’s style became her own. I really love her mix of prints and patterns, because it some odd way it works. There is something so genuine and quirky about her style that fits Betty has a character.

This has inspired me to be more daring with my style and have no fear what I put together.

Five Looks under $100 for Fourth of July

Fourth of July is a day of picnics, bbq’s, fireworks, & fashion. Here are five various looks that you can rock on the fourth & even after:

Style Cap: Joseph Perry

This style cap is very past due, I have been trying to get JP to do a style cap for a VERY long time. Everytime I have asked, JP never felt his outfit was blog post ready…. even though he has GREAT style and he would be my style cap Hall of Famer! LOL Finally, I got him to do a post.

JP’s inspiration for his look was denim! Almost every piece he had on was denim & he wanted to show the versatility of denim. Which I believe, he accomplished with his various shades & types of denim. For example, he was wearing a blue chambray shirt & his pants were oatmeal denim. Great use of contrast.

Blazer- Joseph Abooud
Shirt- Custom made from Nordstrom

Thanks JP!

Solange in Glamour France speaks about her style..

Solange Knowles was featured in this month’s Glamour France in a fabolous photo shoot. Whoever styled this shoot was great.. They played on Solange’s known 60’s inspired style & added a little urban flare.

When asked about her personal style Solange said,” [My style is] very eclectic as I like to take risks, but I always cling to glamorous touches and classic details. I’m not necessarily inspired by magazines or fashion. I surf a lot on blogs and find it cool to see real style from real people. My travels also influence me. I always take lots of pictures, and then inject all those inspirations into my wardrobe, my home decor, or my makeup. And we can’t forget the icons: Diana Ross, Erykah Badu, Bjork, and Lauryn Hill.”

Rachel Roy Resort 2013

I’m not normally a fan of Rachel Roy designs, but this Resort collection I really enjoy. It looks Mad Men inspired. Very 60’s and classic! I like how the pieces are simplistic design wise and have nice structure to them.

BCBG Max Azaria Resort 2013

BCBG brought you chic resort wear with this resort line. I love the color scheme for the collection and use of print & stripes. This collection is perfect for the jet setting fashionista!

Marc Jacobs Resort 2013

I am absolutely in love with this line. Marc definitely pushed the barrier for the resort line with his florals, mix of prints, and metalics. At first glance, I thought the collection was old european inspired, but when the metallics and prints started coming into play it was a nice mix of old school and new school.

I want these shoes!!

These two have to be my favorite pieces!!
