My Fourth of July Essentials

Tomorrow is the fourth of July which means lots of food, alcohol, and time with family. Here are my essentials to make it through this holiday weekend:

  • Denim (shorts): this weekend is typically hot and denim shorts are always my go to! They are always so easy and can go with any look that I want.
  • Converse: You will most likely spend lots of time on your feet or walking while out this weekend. Converse are super versatile and can help you make it through the day, while still look chic. I recently bought my mom these Andy Warhol x Converse low tops and they are twist on red, white, and blue.
  • Alcohol: Yes, this is the biggest necessity. (Not too much though!)
  • Bandana: I love bandanas to shield the sun from my face or to keep me cool. They are stylish and have purpose.

Have a safe and fun fourth of July weekend everyone!

Blue Skies and Blue Jean Shorts!

I am definitely in between seasons, because officially it’s fall but it is still summer weather wise. For instance, today was 90 degrees and sunny. As much as I want to pull out my sweaters and boots, I can’t just yet. I decided to mix the seasons in my look today. I chose classic denim shorts and white v neck, but added a light infinity scarf and low combat boots.

Floral Prints & Poofy Buns

Today was Mission: Halloween Costumes. After everyone got home and settled from school, We went to our local Halloween pop up store. (There is only one Party City for 4 towns. Weird, right?) I decided I have reached my peak of adulthood for costumes, so I didn’t purchase a costume. I will most likely put something together on Halloween.

My look was very casual since I knew we were just doing some shopping today. I snagged these floral print jeans from my sister’s closet and just had to wear them today. I didn’t have a top to pair it with so I chose my chambray shirt.

Raylee had to get in one of the pictures.

I even met a few friends in the Halloween store.

Style Cap: Dinner at Babe’s

Last Friday, We went out to dinner and tried a new restaurant called Babes. I really wanted to wear my bleached denim shirt, but it’s so long I had to wear pants with it. I decided to wear my dark wash Jolt jeans to give it a contrast.

I kept the accessories simple with hoop earrings & my Betsey Johnson ‘Gun’ necklace. Also, to keep the look all denim I wore my chambray saddle oxfords.

What do you think of my look?

What’s your favorite denim style?
I saw these signs in the KIDS department at Target. These are perfect examples of every denim type… I know many adults that need this in their life!!

These are my favorite too.. Super Skinny is the best!

Can’t forget about the guys too..

Comment & tell me your favorite type of denim…
