in celebration with her new tour, beyonce (who has become quite the style icon) curated selections on the site rent the runway! which i just discovered & am obsessed with! from rent the runway, you can rent pieces from many high fashion designers on a 4 to 8 day period. this is so amazing if you have an event or special occasion and need a last minute look for it!

it’s great to see the selections beyonce made, which include many dresses and two or three jumpsuits. that fits her style, so it could see why it was that way. also, i was so happy to see beyonce chose a few kate spade pieces!

8 days to Valentines Day: Fashion Countdown!

Now is the time to get your look together for your hot date next week! For the next eight days, I will chose a store and style an entire look from there. Today’s choice is: CUSP! I personally love the edgy and fashion forward pieces CUSP always has. CUSP is definitely for the girl who has her head in a fashion magazine all the time and who’s dream date is to a very swanky restaurant.

Here are my picks:

BCBGMAXAZRIA Fitted Colobrlock Dress: $228

Rachel Zoe ‘Evelyn’ Degrade-Heeled Sandal: $395

DVF ‘Carolina Lips Clutch’: $345

Dogeared ‘Gold Heart’ Earrings: $40

How NOT to dress to a job interview

Yesterday, I was at Buffalo Wild Wings with my mom and a girl was talking to a manager of the restaurant. We sat down waiting for our to go order & realized that she was there for a job interview. We were both shocked, because she was not exactly dressed for a job interview. Even though it was a fast food restaurant, she was dressed like she was going to the club.

(Here’s a quick snapshot of her outfit. She had a white crew neck t-shirt, yellow knit blazer, stretch skirt, & short cowboy booties.)

Which gave me the idea to do this post on looks for a job interview. Now I know everyone doesn’t have the money to invest into an expensive look. So I pieced together two looks that are under $100 and great professional looks.

Which look do you love more? One or Two?

Style Cap: Niara Simon

Niara Simon is the intern at Sherane’s Vintage Closet. She is a student at Georgia State, majoring in Marketing.
I loved her abode ethnic patterned dress and grudge boots.

Her dress is vintage, while her boots were from Aldo. Great mix of past and current decades.

Isn’t that dress pattern great? (I love her nail color too!)

Thanks sweetie!

Look of the day:

Top: Nordstrom

Pants: Wet Seal (Old)
Boots: Target
Accessories: Macy’s (necklace from Madonna’s Material Girl line), Claire’s… probably? LOL.
This little “clutch” is actually a make up bag I got from Icing before I went on my trip to Cali last year. It is the perfect size & no one ever knows it’s a make up bag. Oh, the tricks of fashionistas. 🙂
Look of the day:
Since I was working in the juniors department this weekend, I finally get to wear what I want. I decided to live it up!

Shirt- Forever 21

Vest- Old Navy

Jeans- Delias

Shoes- Nordstrom

My look was colorful, yet still appropriate for the season!
William Rast for Men Review:
I did a review of Justin Timberlake’s line, William Rast, for women. Now it’s your turn guys..

For men, William Rast stand for that “all american biker” look also. The mens’ line consisted of: Jeans, T-shirts, Plaid Shirt, & Jackets. Basic items that can be mixed and matched around to create some really nice looks. Here are two outfits that I put together:

1. Shirt (34.99), Jeans ($49.99), & Hat ($16.99)

This look is good for a date night with a girlfriend. It’s still comfortable for the guy, but can still be dressed up and down.
2. Shirt ($34.99), Jacket ($49.99), & Jeans ($49.99)

This look is good for a night out with the guys to watch a game or chill. The items in this look can be mixed with another pieces, so you get the most of your money!
The mens line is good for the everyday guy, not too much going on but just enough that you look stylish! I recommend everyone check out the William Rast line at Target!
When I saw these photos of singer Ciara this past week, I knew I wanted to post them. The epitome of the New York fashionista to me. Her look was very fall chic to me.. loved it!

I wasn’t too sure after I saw this report of her & friend Kim Kardashian wearing the SAME outfit. A total #FashionFauxPas. I mean really… the same dress & shoes as your close friend. Kim was seen in the outfit first in Paris, I believe. Then Ciara was seen at an event recently. I think their publicist were probably the motive behind this, but fashion is WAYYY more important than some press. Also, the outfit wasn’t that great… in my opinion.

Take the poll below and let me know what you think!!

Were Ciara & Kim wrong for wearing the same outfit?
Yes, major fashion mistake. . .
No, I share outfits with friends. . .
