Typed Up!

I haven’t put up a style cap in very long so I took a quick snap of a look before I headed to a meeting this week.

Black & White

For our trip to the Salton Sea, I wanted to keep it casual and stylish. I paired my checker print Kate Spade top with the jean shorts that I bleached myself from Goodwill. Since black & white was the theme for my look, I decided to wear my black ‘BIRKIN’ hat.

El Paseo Fashion Week: Day One

Well it doesn’t officially begins on friday, but my fashion week began yesterday. I have the great opportunity to help volunteer behind the scenes this year. It’s such a great experience and I’m very excited to see how fashion week goes. I will be giving day-by-day updates and showing all my looks for each show. We have t-shirts that we are required to wear, so I will showing how I style my looks around the t-shirts.

Blue Magic!

This was my look for our day at Morderism Week. I styled my look around my black sneaker wedges, because I rarely get to wear them and wanted to for the comfort. My blue “sweat pants” added the right amount of color to my look with my black PARIS top.

Kept having people walk through my photoshoot. ugh!

I was so ready to be done taking pictures!

Short n Sweet

Which is how I am keeping this post! I was feeling my girly biker babe look today and had my coworker snap a few shots of my look before we left. I wasn’t really inspired for today’s look and actually tried on about 3 different looks before throwing on my pink heart forever 21 sweater. To really give it that “Kate Spade”element, I added my sisters polka dot peter pan collar top underneath for layering. For the bottoms I still wasn’t sure where I wanted to go until my Kirna Zabete leather leggings caught my eye.

Salute!

Last Sunday, my manager took everyone out for dinner. We went to a popular mexican restaurant in Palm Springs named Las Casuelas. I decided to step my game up a little with my moms sequin camouflage pants. They are a real attention getter and they are sooo comfortable! I paired them with my black & white Frenchi blouse from Nordstrom. Which dressed them up a little bit and since it was chilly I threw on my sisters leather and sweater sleeved jacket from Forever 21.

Sassy Sophistication

I found this Calvin Klein dress on the side of dress and had to wear it! I bought it at Nordstrom Rack last year and have only worn it once. It is a sleeveless dress, so I paired it with my purple jeweled cardigan and quilted wet seal boots.

I love the classic cut of the dress and the way it brings in the waist with the belt. There’s a certain sophistication I feel when I wear the dress and the added cardigan brings a little womanly sassy to the look.

Fruit of the St. John

I love my fruit themed St. John sweater that I bought thrifting in Palm Desert. It was such a great deal for only $78. Today was my first day working in the new year, so I wanted to come with the bright energy I am feeling. I paired the sweater over my favorite chambray button up from Target, my pleated skirt from Forever 21 (which I have in three colors), and my black quilted boots.

Hi, Can I Take Your Picture?: Elise

“Hi, Can I Take Your Picture for my blog?” is apart of my normal greeting when I ask people for style post. Which is how I met Elise.. She was out shopping with her mother and came into Kate Spade. I was with a client and noticed her posh outfit from afar.

I loved the almost “Indie British” she brought to her look with her beautiful coat, simple sweater, tailored pants, and fabulous boots. And please let’s not forget her purse, which was a briefcase style bag. Which really finished off her look. It’s always nice to see a well dressed person, while living in the desert but most people can still wear flip flops and t shirts right now.

Elise started her look off her coat and pieced everything from there. Her coat is one of her favorite pieces and often enjoys to mix off looks from the coat.

Every girl loves a twirl!

I bought this great printed skirt from our local Kate Spade Outlet about a month ago. I wanted to perfect moment to wear and decided to finally wear it on Saturday. I love the print on the skirt and the skirt is 100% silk. I thought the chambray shirt brought another texture and didn’t make the skirt as dressed up.

I’m still getting the hang of use the self timer and tripod, so the pictures will only get better from here! lol

I absolutely had to do a “twirl” session in my skirt! I know my neighbors thought I was a crazy person, spinning in the middle of  the street! lol
