rock the runway: styled by me!

last week, the westfield mall and desert models agency held the “rock the runway” modeling competition. various models and “soon-to-be models” wear styles picked from businesses within the mall and compete for a modeling contract!
since brittyn is already signed to desert models she was asked to participate in the fashion show and at random was selected to model from the store that i work, crazy 8!

i took advantage of the opportunity and put on my stylist hat! after selecting brittyn’s look, i added my sister brieonni and my brother raylee into the show! let’s call it a family affair. our neighbor also modeled in the fashion show so she was styled by me as well!

my ralph lauren summer style

i recently entered into bloomingdales/ralph lauren’s summer style contest. the contest entailed showing your impress of summer style to win a trip to have a ralph lauren styling session and to wimbledon. how amazing is that! well, my mom & i styled an impromptu shoot today for the contest.

i based my look off my navy/green ralph lauren dress and wanted to embody travel summer style. my vision was if i was traveling to wimbledon…. “what ralph lauren look (that i own) would i wear?”well here it is!

check out below various looks from the shoot:

dress: ralph lauren shoes: prabal gurung for target accessories: kate spade & betsey johnson luggage: louis vuitton & vintage

how to style for every customer?

with being shop stylist, i have various tasks to perform for the store. this month we focused on styling looks for our conservative and fashion forward customers. i wanted all my looks to have color and some print to it, since it is kate spade. isn’t that what we’re all about? lol
well here are all my looks. comment and tell me which looks you like best!

remember when i blogged on my new obsession, partyskirts? well i styled this partyskirts inspired look via polyvore.

three ways to wear it!

one of my roles as shop stylist is to have top knowledge in the brand and to be able to style pieces in various ways. we have this activity called “three ways to wear it”, where you choice one piece and style it three different ways. it shows your creativity & also gives you a chance to practice what you can show to customers. i choice our broome street denim jacket as my first piece. see how i styled it below:
