#trappedntravel : where to next?

as many of you remember, my sisters and I traveled to Tokyo last July for almost a week. It was an amazing trip and we now want to make it a staple to take a trip every summer. This year we chose a domestic location, but it’s a new city we’ve never been to.

My next step is to pack which is a task of it’s own.

Told ya I caught the travel bug! Can you guess our next destination?

Happy Fourth of July!

Hey everyone! I hope your enjoying your day of family, friends, and fireworks. I am currently at work, but ready to hit the pool once I’m off. What is everyone’s fashion choices today?

red lip challenge!

tonight i tweeted a random thought about styling looks around a red lip! after a few positive responses from my followers, i thought about really trying it out.
so this week i will be challenging myself to style all of my looks around a red lip!
stay tuned…

can i take your picture?: alex

while on el paseo today, i spotted this boho chic fashionista and instantly knew she had to be on the blog. she exuded the spirit of a socal girl with her free people “duster” that covered her white tank and jean shorts, and to top her look off she threw on a red floppy fedora. she showed her personal style off while remaining simplistic with minimal pieces.

alex themm is a young model from the o.c. who was visiting the coachella valley with her mom and two friends. if you can’t tell already… alex is a young supermodel in the making!

how to style for every customer?

with being shop stylist, i have various tasks to perform for the store. this month we focused on styling looks for our conservative and fashion forward customers. i wanted all my looks to have color and some print to it, since it is kate spade. isn’t that what we’re all about? lol
well here are all my looks. comment and tell me which looks you like best!

“fashion forward” looks:

three ways to wear it!

one of my roles as shop stylist is to have top knowledge in the brand and to be able to style pieces in various ways. we have this activity called “three ways to wear it”, where you choice one piece and style it three different ways. it shows your creativity & also gives you a chance to practice what you can show to customers. i choice our broome street denim jacket as my first piece. see how i styled it below:

Turban Resort Chic!

On Wednesday, My mom suggested I try out a turban with this fabulous h&M scarf she has that matches the colors of my t shirt. After researching the various ways to tie turbans, we found our own way to tie and now I’m hooked! I think I will be wearing a turban all summer now.

Well it doesn’t officially begins on friday, but my fashion week began yesterday. I have the great opportunity to help volunteer behind the scenes this year. It’s such a great experience and I’m very excited to see how fashion week goes. I will be giving day-by-day updates and showing all my looks for each show. We have t-shirts that we are required to wear, so I will showing how I style my looks around the t-shirts.

Kenzo x Vans Spring/Summer Collection

I missed out the first time they collaborated, but now I really need every pair from the new Kenzo and Vans collection. The SS ’13 collection has a “Welcome to the Jungle” feel with each sneaker in a variation of an leopard print.

 Which pair do you want?

Blue Magic!

This was my look for our day at Morderism Week. I styled my look around my black sneaker wedges, because I rarely get to wear them and wanted to for the comfort. My blue “sweat pants” added the right amount of color to my look with my black PARIS top.
