“rain drop, drop top”….can i just say I COMPLETELY agree with Donald Glover by saying that Migo’s Bad & Boujee is the BEST song ever. I listen to that song at least 10 times a day. I literally do feel like a bad bitch after that song. Which brings me to this UH-MAZING Trina Turk dress that I wear weekly, because I also feel like a bad bitch every time I wear it.
My summer trip to Vancouver was amazing!!! We enjoyed lots of food, drinks, and did lots of sightseeing! My sister, Bryce is legal to drink in Canada so we fully took advantage. #turnup We took a walking tour of Granville Island and thoroughly enjoyed the views and ALL the food. We made a spontaneous trip to buy Canadian weed
(apparently Canadians are pretty lenient with their weed) and visited New Amsterdam Café. As you can see we had a pretty well rounded trip… and this is just the first two days.
can i tell you guys what i listen to all day and night….podcast!!! i love love love listening to podcasts. it’s like listening to a group of friends talking. I never really listened to radio shows, but have podcasts pushed those to the back?
2. I’ll name this podcast later: Joe Budden (the rapper) has an outrageous podcast with his co hosts Rory & Marissa.
3. The Bitch Bible: My favorite LA girl gives hilarious stories from her life & talks reality tv! (Thanks Nicole for the reference)
Can you believe Spring is already here? We only got about 2 weeks of Winter here, so I’m pretty bummed that the temperature is already near the 90s. #hellonearth
With Spring comes spring trends… what are your favs and which do you hate?
To Quote my fairy god mother (in my head) Miranda Prieslwy, “Florals? For Spring”… Groundbreaking.”
Although I (clearly) wear floral prints, they aren’t always my favorite since it’s so easy to just pull out anything floral. I think going forward I’ll be definitely mixing my prints and making my floral print not so typical.
Based off what I saw during Fashion Week, I can’t wait to see the hot trends that arrive this year.

It may still be February (for another week), but my mind is already in April. Coachella is right around the corner and this year I want to be prepared… fashion wise! Last year, I waited to the last moment to shop for my looks and it was a bit stressful. Nothing is worst than being at the mall before it closes the week of Coachella. Plus, everything is gone in your size at that point. My blogger beastie, Niki, has me motivated to shop my looks since she is done with her Coachella shopping.
Also, I’m taking a different direction style wise. Instead of the typical bohemian looks, I’ve been really inspired by the Afropunk musical festival. The festival goers use a mix of modern urban style with traditional African prints and textiles. Maybe I’ve been inspired by formation, but I am really feeling that this year. #Blackgirlmagic #getinformation
I have some very exciting news! I recently moved to a great position at….TRINA TURK! Yes, it was a very unexpected move and I am so happy! I have been welcomed with open arms and I’m happy to be apart of the brand.
The Moss 2 Pant has become one of my favorite go-to pieces in the last few weeks. The fit is impeccable and the print is fantastic. You can style these so many different ways which definitely helps me. Since I work in Palm Springs, I often transition my work looks to go out for drinks… and such!
I styled my pants for a fun easy daytime look. I paired the Moss Pant with my Green Trina Turk sweater and denim slip on sneakers. Easy going for brunch on a Sunday before hitting the town.
Then to transition to night, I changed into my strappy Chinese Laundry heels and I added my H&M leather jacket. Perfect for a chilly night!
Which look is your fav?

A few weeks ago, my friend Courtney let me know she would be coming to LA from ATL. I haven’t seen Courtney since I’ve moved to Cali so I HAD to make the drive to LA for her.
Since I’m a few hours out, I have to trips to LA count for the full day. I decided to hit Santa Monica to enjoy a day of shopping and ocean view. I can’t remember that last time I saw the ocean…
I went a little crazy in Nordstrom, Victoria’s Secret, Zara, and so many other stores… it was a great day. I’ve been into a Nasty Gal boutique so I stopped in the one at the 3rd Street Promenade… It was an interesting.
Nasty Gal boutiques are kind of what you expect. Semi-overpriced “vintage looking” pieces. They definitely cater to that rich girl in LA who likes that look.
After shopping, I picked up Courtney and her friends Hira and Nabihah. We all squeezed into my tiny Fiat and headed to dinner. We found this awesome Mexican spot near their Air B n B. The food was so good that I couldn’t finish.
After a margarita and a shot of Tequila… Tequila won! It was a great day in LA and I can’t wait to go back.
That is my question when I open my eyes every Monday. I instantly get the Monday Blues and wish it was Friday already! There should be some type of medication to overcome the Monday Blues.
How do overcome the Monday Blues?
I feel that starting each week with goals helps me use Mondays as my starting point with achieving the goals and staying focused. I look at Monday is my day to refocus and remember what I hustle hard for.
A little Beyoncé (or future, if I’m feeling ratchet) always start my Monday right. I love music and this always affects my mood and energy.

It’s nice to enjoy my days off styled how I like. I knew we would be heading out for lunch today and I wanted to keep my look spring chic. My mother owns this Alberto Mikali top at Nordstrom Rack awhile back. I knew I wanted to match my look around these new Sam Edelman gladiators.
My Alberto Makali top was a perfect match to the gladiators and my yellow shorts brought the entire look together.
When I originally picked out my look, I paired the top with white denim and was told that I looked like a Orange County Housewives. I had to improvise the look keep it to my age group. Lol.

Today was a rare day in desert weather..it rained! Which, honestly, is my least favorite weather. I hate being wet and the nasty clouds rain brings. I also have the “I don’t want to get my hair wet” mainframe. #blackgirlproblems
The rain messed up the shoot I had planned for the blog, but it did force me to actually relax on my full day off. I needed to run a few errands and since all my rain boots are in storage, I had to suffice for this rainy weather. I bought these new booties from the Nordstrom site, Haute Look earlier this week. I have been on the search for a pair of brown booties since Coachella and how nice….I found these a month later! And you won’t guess how much they were $22!
I like to multi task during shoots… I was recording my sister on snapshot complain about having to stand in the rain. Boo Hoo.. sacrifice… sacrifice! Follow me on snapshot @trappednfashion
I caught this awesome shots of the foggy mountains behind our house. How random is that… fog in the desert? It looks great though.
